Thappad Screening: Anurag Kashyap says, half of the problems will be solved if Home Minister Amit Shah says sorry

The filmmaker/director Anurag Kashyap is well known for being vocal on issues and his concerns over the current government in power. He was at it again as he was present at the special screening of the film Thappad. The film’s trailer has inspired many women who do not raise their voice over the violence they face.

The film’s special screening was held on Tuesday night followed by an important discussion which also saw Anurag Kashyap participate. During it, Anurag Kashyap pointed out about the current situation regarding anti-CAA protest all over the country and to this he said half of the problem will be solved if the Home Minister Amit Shah says sorry. The filmmaker’s comment was received with some applause as it left many in splits.

The cast of the upcoming film Thappad was present at the screening. Taapsee Pannu, Dia Mirza, Anubhav Sinha and Pavel Gulati were present for the discussion during which the cast spoke about the film’s storyline and how Pavail’s character does not apologise to his wife (played by Taapsee) till the end despite slapping her in public. To this, Taapsee revealed that it was well-thought-out and there is a reason why he doesn’t apologise
