Telangana government would start the online classes for the students from class 11th and 12th from August 17, 2020. The details were made available on the official website of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education.
As per the details provided, the classes for the students will be aired via Doordarshan and T-SAT network channels. The council has made the attendance for the teachers 50 percent compulsory from August 17, 2020.
The classes for the students from class 6 to 10 are slated to begin from August 20, 2020, while for the other students, the classes will start from September 1, 2020.
Admissions to Intermediate Courses
The admission process to the intermediate courses will start from September 1, 2020, for the students who have qualified the class 10th board exams this year and are awaiting the admissions for class 11th.
Admissions for the degree programmes are slated from August 20, 2020, onwards. The degree admissions in the colleges in Telangana will be held through the DOST Website which is a single-window for those seeking admissions to the undergraduate courses.
New features in DOST portal
Keeping in mind the COVID-19 pandemic, new features have been incorporated in the DOST admission system.
It also features Real-Time Digital Face Recognition of T App Folio which is applicable for the students who have passed out from the Telangana board.
In line with this, an online grievance system has been launched to resolve the issues of the candidates amid the application process.
Telangana Common Entrance Test
The Telangana state government has declared that state common entrance tests will be held from the second week of September across the state.
According to the dates released, the TS EAMCET 2020 exam is scheduled to be held from September 9 to 14, 2020 while the TS POLYCET 2020 exams will be conducted on September 2 and the TS ECET exam will be conducted on August 31, 2020.
