Twitter Blue launched in India: Twitter Blue has been introduced officially in India. The service will cost Rs 900 a month on both Android and iOS, but Twitter describes it as a limited time offer, so the price may be adjusted at some point. It will just cost Rs 650 per month online (566.7 a month if you opt for annual plan). As anticipated, members will receive a blue checkmark on their profile (after a review by the firm) as well as a few additional perks, such as priority in search and the option to upload lengthier films, although these will not be available at launch.
The launch of Twitter’s Blue membership service has been turbulent. In November of last year, the service was initially introduced in select regions including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, only to be retracted after a number of questionable identities were confirmed in exchange for payment. Elon Musk, the current owner of the microblogging website, stated at the time that the service would launch in India in less than a month at a fee “adjusted by nation proportionally to purchasing power parity.”
The service was relaunched in December with amended terms and conditions, including phone number verification, but its rollout in other markets remained unclear. Today, the service appears to have quietly gone live in India. It may be accessed by swiping left from the profile tab. When you click on it, you are led directly to a subscription page. Twitter Blue India Price
The new Twitter Blue package would cost desktop users Rs 650 per month. The monthly subscription fee for iOS and Android app users is Rs 900. The annual cost of the desktop version is 6800 rupees.
Blue provides users with the privileged checkmark that was previously designated for public/notable people. The checkmark served as evidence of the account’s validity. Musk intended to offer “greater power to the people,” therefore he later made the verified tick available to anyone who could pay up to $11/ Rs 900 per month for it.
Blue is not limited to the checkbox. Users with a Blue subscription will receive visible priority in responses, mentions, and searches. Blue users will see half as many advertisements and will be able to upload longer movies. There are other additional features, such Bookmark Folders, unique app icons, tweet undo, etc.
Twitter indicates that paying clients will receive:
- After approval, a blue checkmark will appear
- Priority with respect to replies, mentions, and searches
- 50 percent less advertisements on the home timeline
- the capacity to upload lengthier videos
- Early access to Twitter Blue Labs capabilities such as tweet editing, NFT profile photo uploads, and 1080p video uploads.
