The fatal stories of sewage cleaners in Delhi have become a regular thing now. Anil who was sewage cleaner died five days back in the national capital in a similar incident inside the sewage pipeline of DLF Capital Greens in Moti Nagar. The 28-year-old was cleaning the DJB sewer pit when he lost his life. However, his family had no money to perform his last rites.

The family of the deceased was helplessly waiting in the cremation ground for some help to arrive. From somewhere, someone clicked a picture of the family, and suddenly an image of the son of the deceased went viral on social media. In the image, the child was crying over his father’s dead body.

People started sharing this image of the child and many of them shared it with Rajdeep Sardesai and actor Manoj Bajpei pleading to extend help to the grieving family. After the picture became viral, famous journalist Yashwant Deshmukh had campaigned on social media to help Anil’s family.
