Mumbai, Dec 17 (IANS) As Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer Gully Boy — India’s official entry for the Oscars — was eliminated from the Oscars race, Twitter was abuzz with comments from movie buffs.

One fan wrote: “As expected… nepotism gang down again & again… this year’s best Indian film was @super30…. this film & @iHrithik sir deserved each & every award….”

Another user commented: “I think Andha Dhun was a better choice than Super 30. But Gully Boy was the best choice among the three.”

One fan played on a dialogue from Gully Boy and posted a movie clip featuring Ranveer: “Apna time aaya… aur chala gaya… (my time came, and was gone) LOL.”

A user commented: “As if it was worth winning an Oscar.””Great news” and “Phew… thank God” were also posted by users.

Parasite, The Painted Bird, Les Miserables, and Atlantics were among the 10 movies shortlisted in the Best Foreign Language Film category for the 92nd Academy Awards.
