Just after four days of marriage, two brides from Jaipur drugged their husband’s milk which made them unconscious and fled away after robbing jewellery and cash worth lakhs of rupees. Earlier, the victim has reportedly paid Rs 11 lakhs to a broker to get his brothers married, out of which, more than Rs 9 lakhs were spent on the wedding.
The victim Chauthamal is a resident of Pokhriyavas has filed a complaint against brokers Suresh and Gajanand along with the two brides at the Harmada police station. The police have filed a report against the accused and started investigating the case.
Chauthamal had contacted Gajanand to get his brothers Ramnarayan and Rajesh married. On which Gajanand informed him about two daughters of his acquaintance from Alwar. Both the brothers of Gajanand then went to Alwar at Suresh Saini’s house where they met the two girls. Two men were present there at that time who asked the brothers to pay Rs 11 lakhs as they were getting married through Suresh and Gajanand.
The deal was settled on both sides and they paid 11 lakhs on their demand. On February 19, Chauthamal spent around Rs 9 lakhs for the wedding ceremony of his brothers at a marriage garden near Samod. Later on February 23, both the girls drugged their husband’s milk which led them unconscious. The con brides then fled away with jewellery and cash worth lakhs of rupees, said the police officials.
From the past three years, more than 100 cases of such robbery and cheating have been reported in Rajasthan in which jewellery and cash worth around Rs 2 crore had been robbed by such thugs. The police have arrested 57 such brides, but are still looking for 46 such brides.
