UGC calendar suggests to conduct college exams from July 1: HRD Minister

UGC calendar has suggested to hold the college exams from July 1 and to start a new academic session in August.

During the interaction with the students all over the country through a live session on the social media on Tuesday, May 5, HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said that the UGC calendar has suggested to hold the college exams from July 1 and to start a new academic session in August.

“College-level exams to be held from July 1 and will try to declare result by July-end so that the session can begin from August. We have asked institutes to be aware about situation in their area. In case an area is still affected in July, they can promote students on basis of previous and internal exams,” HRD Minister said.

Moreover, for zones that are not able to appear for the exams, the plan for intermediate exams will be conducted.

Meanwhile, Pokhriyal also informed that the CBSE Board exam 2020 new dates will be announced within a couple of days.

He also informed that the JEE Main 2020 will be now conducted from July 18 to July 23. The JEE Advanced 2020 exam would be conducted in the month of August. NEET 2020 Exam would be conducted on July 26.
