UP Board Result 2020: UPMSP Class 10, 12 results declared; Pass percentage, toppers; All you need to know

UP Board 10th, 12th Result 2020 Live Updates: One of the longest waits for the board results will be ending today on June 27. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) is all set to declare the UP Board Class 10th and 12th results today at 12:30 PM. Students who have taken the UP Board examination 2020, can check Uttar Pradesh Board result 2020 by visiting the official websites — upmsp.edu.in and upmspresults.up.nic.in.

UP Board Result 2020: Pass percentage

The pass percentage for high school increased to 83.31% from last year’s 80.07% and for intermediate it increased to 74.63% against last year’s 70.06%. So the pass percentage went up by 3% to 4%.

Announcing the results here on Saturday, deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma said in high school exams, the total pass percentage was 83.31 in which the girls passed were 87.29 per cent and boys 79.88 per cent. Girls pass percentage was more by 7.41%.

In the intermediate exams, the total pass percentage was 74.63 in which the girls pass percentage was 81.96 per cent and the boys pass percentage was 68.88 per cent. Girls pass percentage remained high by 13.06%. Thus once again girls outperformed boys both in high school and intermediate examination.

UP Board Result 2020: Toppers

Both the toppers of high school and intermediate were from the same Shri Ram SM Inter College, Baraut in Baghpat district.

In High school, Riya Jain was topper with 96.67 mark, while two Barabanki boys Abhimanyu Verma (95.83%) and Yogesh Pratap Singh (95.33%) stood second and third rank respectively.

In Intermediate, Anurag Malik of Baghpat topped with 97 per cent mark, Pranjal Singh (96%) of Prayagraj and Utkarsh Shukla (94.80%) of Auraiya got second and third rank respectively.

This year, 56 lakh students appeared for the UP Board exam out of which about 5 lakh students had skipped the examination. Out of the 56 lakh students, more than 30 lakh students are registered for UP Board high school exam and over 25 lakh are registered for intermediate examinations.

To pass the exam, a student has to secure a minimum of 35 per cent in each subject. The UP Board Class 10 and Class 12 exams 2020 were ended from February 18 to March 6, 2020 across the state, however, the evaluation of the answer sheets was stopped because of the nationwide lockdown imposed to curb the Covid-19 outbreak.

UPMSP is the largest board of the country with 30,24,632 candidates registering for the UP 10th Board examinations and 25,86,440 registering for the 12th board exams this year. The result evaluation process was to be completed in the month of April itself and the results were expected to be declared by April 24. However, the same was delayed when the lockdown was announced across the country.

12:24 pm: “More than 56 lakh students had registered and more than 52 lakh had appeared for the UP Board Exams this year. Nearly 2.82 crores were evaluated in 21 days. Result 2020 has been better than last year,” said UP Dy CM Dinesh Sharma

Students may please note that due to heavy volumes the links may not be working. The result links for upresults.nic.in would also be activated by 12:30. UP Board Results would also be available on third party website examresults.net and indiaresults.com. Once released, the link would be provided here as well. Students may try the link provided to check. A window like the one shown should open. Students can watch the result declaration here as well.

Press Conference Begins, High School, Inter Results to be out in few minutes @ upresults.nic.in

11:59 pm: Results announced. Students can check their results online on the links provided above. Press conference would begin shortly and information would be provided here live. The results would also be released momentarily on upresults.nic.in.

11:45 am: Check your UP Board Result 2020 for Class 10th 12th shortly on upresults.nic.in, upmsp.edu.in and other websites. Direct link to check the results would be activated after the results are announced. Students would also get Digitally signed mark sheet this year, which they would be able to download online. The mark sheet would be released after a few days on upmsp.edu.in. This has been done to ensure that students do not face any difficulty due to the pandemic.

11:44 am: Heavy traffic on official websites, check other options: Since over 56 lakh students will be checking the result on June 27, a heavy load is expected on the website. Students can also register at indianexpress.com by filling in details in the box given below. They will be given results via SMS and email on the registered mobile number and email address, respectively

11:04 am: Only an hour to go and students can check their marks on the official site of UPMSP. This year 56 lakh students have appeared for the examination. The result can also be checked on mobile through SMS. To do so, candidates will have to write UP10<Roll Number> or UP12 <Roll Number> and send it to 56263.

10:47 am: UP Board officials have confirmed that the 10th 12th results would be announced by the Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma from the Lucknow office. The board usually releases its result from the Allahabad (Prayagraj Office). This year, however, the results woudl be announced from Lucknow. Change in venue is due to the pandemic situations in the country. UP was among the only few boards which was able to complete all the examinations before the Lockdown was announcd.

10:44 am: UP 10th 12th Result 2020 may be released earlier than anticipated. Updates from the UP Board’s office in Lucknow suggest that the results may be announced at 12 am itself, instead of 12:30 am. It is not clear if the links woudl be activated earlier as well. Students are hence advised to keep a check onthe official website. Latest updates here.

10:33 am: UP Board Result date was announced. This year there is some good news for 10th and 12th students. UPMSP has decided to conduct compartment examinations for both high school and intermediate students. Students who fail to secure the passing marks in 2 subjects would be allowed to appear for the compartment examination. UP 10th 12th Results 2020 would be released at 12:30 pm today. 10:20 am: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has wished students ahead of UP Result 2020. The tweet read, “My dear children Today is the result of UP board exam. By the way, exams and examinations are only medium of self-analysis. Therefore, it is best to accept each test easily. May all of you get the desired result by the grace of Lord Shri Ram.”

10:05 am: Soon after the announcement of the marks by UP Board, students can check their scores on the official site. However, they will b able to get their mark sheets after 10 days of declaration of the result. As per rule, the mark sheet would be sent to the regional offices. The district head will disseminate it to the schools. The schools will pass the respective mark sheet of the respective student.

9:50 am: This year the announcement is delayed because the evaluation of answer sheets was delayed by the Board. Due to the nationwide lockdown, teachers were unable to reach the evaluation center which caused the declaration of the result in June. Every year the Board announces the result in April or May itself.

9:35 am: Madhyamik Shiksha board would shortly release the result. This year, the board results would be announced from Lucknow rather than Prayagraj office of UPMSP. Students would be able to check their results once they are announced. Though not confirmed, it is expected that Deputy CM, Dinesh Sharma may announce the UP 10th 12th Results today.
