UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2020: The new examination dates of Union Public Service Commission, UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2020 is expected to be released today, on May 20 on the official website of the commission. Those applicants who registered for the exam are required to keep a track of the official website of UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
Earlier, UPSC issued the notification that stated the situation will be reviewed again on May 20, 2020, and new dates for these exams should be notified on the UPSC website in due course of time.
“The Commission held a special meeting on May 4, 2020, to review the situation after the second phase of the nation-wide lockdown due to COVID-19. Taking notice of the extension of restrictions, the Commission decided that it will not be possible to resume examinations and interviews for the present,” an official notice reads.

According to the reports, it is expected that the UPSC Civil Services 2020 preliminary examination fresh dates will be announced tomorrow, on May 20. Therefore, an official update on the same is still awaited.
The new examination dates of the UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2020 would be announced on the official website of the UPSC at upsc.gov.in.
In the wake of the coronavirus crisis, the UPSC Civil Services 2020 scheduled to be conducted on May 31, 2020, had been postponed. Along with this, the commission has also deferred the Personality test for remaining candidates for the Civil Services Examination, 2019, Notification for the UPSC Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2020, Notification for the UPSC Combined Medical Services Examination, 2020, Notification for the Central Armed Police Forces Examination, 2020 and the UPSC NDA & Naval Academy Examination, 2020.
The Centre has extended the nationwide lockdown by further two weeks till May 31.
In lockdown 4, all the schools, colleges, educational, training and coaching institutions will remain close nationwide.
