In Uttarakhand, four of the five friends who went to the jungle to hunt in the Tehri district have died. The revenue police and SDM left for the spot as soon as the death of the youths were reported.
According to information received from the villagers, one of the young men was gunned down and the other three died after eating a poisonous substance.
All these friends went hunting in the remote village of Kundi at Bhilangna. Out of these, four have died and the bodies of three were brought to Beleshwar hospital at midnight. They have been identified as Soban Singh (27 years), Pankaj Singh (23 years), and Anuj Panwar (24 years). Fourth friend, Santosh Panwar died from the bullet, and his body is kept in the village itself. There is no information about another young man, who is still missing.
The villagers are in complete shock after this incident. Village pradhan Kuldeep Singh said that the five people went hunting in the jungle last Saturday afternoon. The bodies of all of them were found when villagers went to search for them in the jungle at night.
