A video of Sonali Phogat, TikTok star turned BJP leader, went viral on Friday. In the video, Sonali can be seen beating up a man with a slipper. The man beaten up by the leader is a committee secretary of the Hisar market.
She can be heard saying in the video, “Am I working to hear abuses from people like you? Do I not have the right to a dignified life. You have no right to live”.
As per the sources, Sonali with her associates, went to the grain market’s purchase centre and spoke to Singh about some issues they were facing. Later, the things got heated up and soon they saw Phogat thrashing Singh with a slipper.
Sultan Singh has filed a complaint against Phogat.
Sonali Phogat is the National Vice President of BJP’s Mahila Morcha. She is also in charge of the Scheduled Tribe wing of Haryana, New Delhi, and Chandigarh for the party and has worked on the ground level in the tribal areas of Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh. She is also part of BJP’s national executive committee.
Phogat has a huge fan following on the short-video making platform TikTok, where she has over one lakh followers.
Sonali started her TV career by anchoring Haryanvi shows for Doordarshan eight years ago. Her biggest break came when she cast in ZEE TV’s serial Amma, in 2016.
