He thanked Naeem for the session on Instagram and shared a picture with the message, “Thanks for helping out with the hit, brother. Always lovely to see you.” Naeem also replied on Instagram saying, “Good to see you brother! See you soon.”

The last time Kohli played a big match was in June during the IPL 2025 final. In that match, he made 43 runs and helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru win their first IPL title ever by beating Punjab Kings in Ahmedabad.

He already has an amazing record in ODIs with 14,181 runs and a massive 51 centuries. That’s the most centuries in this format. In the last ODI World Cup, he made a new record by scoring 765 runs in the tournament, which broke Sachin Tendulkar’s old record.

ODI match in October

Team India won’t be playing any international matches in August 2025. In September, they’ll head to the UAE for the Asia Cup, happening from September 9 to 28 across two stadiums.

Then, in early October, India will play two Test matches at home against West Indies, with the second one in Delhi from October 10 to 14.

After that, the team will fly to Australia for a short white-ball series. The ODI series begins on October 19 in Perth, followed by matches on October 23 in Adelaide and October 25 in Sydney.
