Vishwakarma Puja 2025:In 2025, Vishwakarma Puja falls on Wednesday, 17th September, and this auspicious day also happens to be Kanya Sankranti, in which the sun transitions into Kanya Rashi (Virgo), which people traditionally celebrate as Bhadra Sankranti. The auspicious Sankranti (punya-kaal) begins at 1:55 AM, where it will be the best auspicious time to perform the puja.

Who Is Lord Vishwakarma?

In Hindu mythology, Lord Vishwakarma is acknowledged as the divine engineer of the universe. He has constructed cities like Dwaraka and Indraprastha, divine transport such as Pushpak Vimana, weapons of supreme power such as Vishnu’s Sudarshan Chakra and Shiva’s Trishul, and is the author of the Sthapatya Veda known for studies in mechanics and architecture.

Why Do We Celebrate Vishwakarma Puja?

This day is a sentimental tribute to artisans, mechanics, engineers, architects and craftsmen essentially those who have devoted their lives living as a craftsman modifying, producing, and shaping our world.
