The Repo rate is falling down and that’s why banks had to cut interest on fixed deposits (FD). The interest on FDs of public sector banks has been cut to 2.5%-5.5% and the maximum is 6% for senior citizens.
And in the private sector, there are still some small finance banks that are offering up to 3% and 7.25% on their saving bank accounts.
