One person was killed, five others wounded on Thursday, September 19, in a shooting that took place in Washington DC streets police said.
It was not immediately clear if a suspect had been taken into custody in the incident. Reuters quoting law enforcement source reported that the latter are not considering it an “active shooter” situation.
The gunfire erupted in the Columbia Heights neighbourhood, three km from the White House on Thursday night.
Reportedly, local police have confirmed that the victims have all been transported to local hospitals.
