Silento, the Atlanta rapper known for his hit single and viral dance Watch Me Whip, Nae Nae has been arrested by the police and has been charged with murdering his cousin.
The 23- year old whose real name is Ricky Lamar Hawk, has been arrested after police investigated the death of his 34-year-old cousin Frederick Rooks.
As per reports, police responded yo a call about a shooting on January 21 and found Rooks with multiple gunshot wounds on a road in Atlanta area Suburb of Pantherville according to the incident reports from Dekalb country police.
The cousin was pronounced dead at the scene. But after investigation, security camera footage from nearby homes captured at least one gunshot before several vehicles fled the scene at high speeds.
Later, police said in a statement that Silento was later identified as a suspect. The motive for the shooting is not yet determined. Silento, rapper, was booked into jail on the charge of felony murder on Monday and is currently being held there on a murder charge, jail records show.
Other than this, the rapper was arrested in Atlanta after being caught driving 143 mph in a 65 mph zone as per the DeKalb County Police Department. He was given a warning over citations for reckless driving, speeding, failure to maintain lane and improper stopping, jail records show.
