Chennai: We all know unemployment has become a major problem in the country today, rising inflation has broken the back of the common man. The umemployment rate has risen to such unprecedented levels that PhD scholars are coming for the recruitment of peons, then these days not only graduates but engineers are also seen standing in line to get the job of ‘parking attendant’.

This is the case of Chennai which has gained its fame worldwide for its world-class engineers, but these days engineers are squabbling for jobs in this city. Recruitment for ‘parking attendant’ has come out in this city.

To get this job, not only 10th and 12th pass but a long line of graduate and engineering degree holders stood in the line.

According to the report published in The Hindu, a total of 1400 youth applied for this ‘parking attendant’ job. A total of 700 unemployed engineering and MBA degree holders applied for the job position

One might be surprised to know the statistics that around 70% of the people applying for the parking attendant position are graduates, out of which more than 50% of people have an engineering degree. By looking at these figures one will be shocked knowing the level of unemployment that exists in the city.

As of now, more than 1,000 people have been selected by these vendors for the position of a parking attendant. Workers will be working from Monday. An applicant has a degree in engineering said that currently, he has no job due to the poor state of real estate, so he is forcibly applying for the job.
