Will BJP ask President Kovind to resign for praising Tipu Sultan, asks Sanjay Raut

A day after the swearing-in ceremony of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, senior Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut while interacting with media said, “We are busy in Goa politics, Maharashtra politics is over.”

The reply came on court issuing summons to ex-CM Devendra Fadnavis in connection with the case where he is accused of concealing info about 2 criminal cases, in election affidavit.

The Rajya Sabha leader also said, “Goa Forward Party president & ex-Dy CM of Goa, Vijai Sardesai along with 3 MLAs, is forming alliance with Shiv Sena. A new political front is taking shape in Goa, just like it happened in Maharashtra. Soon you will see magic in Goa as well. (Jaldi hi Goa mein bhi aapko ek chamatkar dikhai dega).”

“It will happen across the country. After Maharashtra it is Goa, then we will go to other states. We want to make a non-BJP political front in this country.”

Earlier, soon after Uddhav Thackeray was sworn-in as the chief minister of Maharashtra, Mr Raut took a jibe at former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis for being elected as leader of the opposition party in the state.

The Sena leader tweeted “Heartiest congratulations to former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, who claimed that there will be no opposition in Maharashtra, on being elected as the opposition party leader.”
