West Bengal Board postpones Internal Exams in areas hit by cyclone ‘Bulbul’

According to the reports, cyclonic storm Bulbul made landfall Saturday midnight i.e., on November 9 taking the lives of 10 people hence, affecting over 2.5 lakh families in different districts of the state.

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has released an official notice regarding the postponed of the internal exams in school in areas that are severely hit by the cyclonic storm ‘Bulbul’.

According to the reports, cyclonic storm Bulbul made landfall Saturday midnight i.e., on November 9 taking the lives of 10 people hence, affecting over 2.5 lakh families in different districts of the state.

Board President Kalyanmoy Ganguly mentioned under the notice that the internal exams will be postponed for a week in Kakdwip, Namkhana, Sagar, Patharprotima, Basanti, Gosaba, Kultali, Mathurapur-I,II, Canning-I, II, Kulpi, Jaynagar-I,II and Magrahat- I, II in South 24 Parganas district; Baduria, Haroa, Swarupnagar, Minakhan, Hasnabad, Hingalganj, Sandesh Khali-I,II, Basirhat- I,II in North 24 Parganas; Ramnagar-I,II, Deshapran, Khejuri-I,II, Nandigram-I, Mahidasal, Contai-I in Purba Medinipur districts which have been badly affected by the cyclone.

The WBBSE will conduct the class 10th examination (Madhyamik) in the state government school which will be held from February 18, 2020, to February 27, 2020.

The Physical Education & Social Service and Work Education exam will be scheduled to be conducted from February 28, 2020, to March 13, 2020.
