West Bengal: Over 13 injured after massive fire erupts at Haldia Petrochemical Unit

In a tragic incident, at least 13 people were injured of which six are reportedly critical after a massive broke out at West Bengal-based Haldia Petrochemical’s naphtha cracker unit on Friday at about 11:15 am.

As per the early reports, ten fire brigades have been pressed into service. Several ambulances have been rushed to the spot to remove the injured workers to the hospital.

According to Purba Medinipur Superintendent of Police V Solomon Nesakumar, efforts to douse the flames are on.
