The India Post has called applicants for online applications to fill up 5,778 vacancies to the post of Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) in the West Bengal Circle through recruitment drive. The online registration has been started on December 5, 2019, and will conclude on December 14, 2019, for a total of 5,778 posts.
The interested candidates must be of 18 years of age and not be more than 40 years with upper age relaxation up to 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST respectively so that they can apply for the GDS posts under West Bengal Postal Circle.

- SC/ST/PWD/EWS and Women- No fee
Educational Criteria And Eligibility
Candidates applying for GDS posts must have passed Class 10th or equivalent from a recognized Board and should also possess computer knowledge and will be required to furnish basic computer training certificate.

Candidates who wish to apply for GDS posts under West Bengal Postal Circle must register and submit their application form on the official Indian Post website at http://appost.in/gdsonline/ on or before December 14, 2019.
Selection And Pay Scale
Based on the merit, the selection for GDS posts under West Bengal Postal Circle will be done. Qualified candidates will be paid a salary between Rs 10,000 to Rs 12,000 per month.
