WhatsApp’s Enhanced Video Calling: Popular messaging platform WhatsApp has recently expanded its video calling capabilities for Windows PC users. According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has begun bringing out an update to its beta version for Windows PC that enables users to conduct video calls with up to 32 participants. This new feature expands the previous limitation of audio conversations, which supported a maximum of 32 participants.

Previously, Windows users could only engage in audio conversations with multiple participants; however, with the most recent update, beta testers can now engage in video calls with larger groups. Initially, select beta participants who have installed the most recent WhatsApp beta for Windows update will have access to this feature. In the following days, it is expected to be gradually made available to a wider audience.

This development follows an announcement made by Mark Zuckerberg, founder and chief executive officer of Meta, in November of the previous year, in which he revealed intentions to introduce this video calling feature for Android and iOS users.

In addition, it was reported earlier this month that WhatsApp was testing a screen-sharing feature for video conversations with Windows beta testers. Participants in a video call have the option to share a specific window or their entire screen using this function. This feature enhances collaboration by allowing users to share presentations, documents, and other content during video sessions.
