On Saturday, September 30, 2023, the social media icon from Canada addressed all of the rumors during an Instagram Live session, as she had not posted any videos or images of herself since 2018.

She began the video by holding up a piece of paper that read “Why I’ve Been Absent” before explaining the situation. She spoke about her father and claimed that he declared her deceased in front of the world so that he could profit financially by appropriating all of her assets.
Lil Tay ascended to prominence in 2018, but unexpectedly ceased posting on June 19, 2018. On August 10, a social media post from her account claimed that she had passed away. This confused numerous admirers and followers. However, on September 28, 2023, the social media star returned to the platform and stated that she is alive and now manages the account by herself.

Christopher Hope is reportedly a Vancouver, Canada-based attorney. According to Pink Villa, he is affiliated with a firm in the city and is also a member of the property assessment appeal board’s tribunal.
Christopher Hope, a member of the Vancouver Bar Association, battled his wife in court.

While numerous websites assert that Hope is an attorney, his daughter, Lil Tay, refuted the claims and stated that he collaborates with fraud artists. Meanwhile, Pink Villa asserts that he is an at-large member of the Vancouver Bar Association’s executive committee. Additionally, Hope was engaged in a custody dispute with his wife over their child, Lil Tay.
Lil Tay also discussed a court case, explaining that Christopher Hope had filed a lawsuit to “silence” her and her mother. Nonetheless, she concluded by stating that her mother spent her entire life assets to battle the case, but Lil Tay and her mother ultimately prevailed. She stated that Chris Hope owes her $275,000 in child support.

She also asserted that Christopher Hope would bring “random women” to the residence and displayed a photo of one of his companions. She even claimed that Hope is involved with a woman named Hanee Hope, who, according to her, is a “scammer.”
In addition, she stated that Chris had abused her mother throughout her entire existence.
In addition to the news of her survival, Lil Tay also published the music video for her new song, Sucker 4 Green. Tay’s mother and sibling are also depicted in the music video.
