Baba ka Dhaba, the name of the eatery owned by Prasad and his wife, Badaami Devi shot into fame over the last 24 hours with a video of Prasad going viral on the internet.
In the viral video, Prasad can be seen interacting with a Delhi-based food blogger Gaurav Wasan, often wiping his tears as he elaborated on the menu of home-cooked vegetarian meals and the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on their small business.
By Thursday morning, ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’ was one of the top trending hashtags on Twitter. The moving story of the elderly couple, whom even their children have ditched, brought the community together in a humanitarian effort to rebuild their dhaba and hence lives.

Well, this is not the first time when Gaurav had shared a video or picture and urged people to support small vendors in the view of the coronavirus pandemic. Along with the post, the blogger also shares the price, menu, timings, and address details.
Wasan in September shared a picture of a Shikanji seller, Pappi Lahri.
Sharing the picture on his Instagram handle, Gaurav wrote, “His face says it all. $2 years in the business doing the same thing but the best is he lives what he does and when you ever get a chance to visit him you will love it because of the way he serves you.”
