Will fight all elections alone: BSP’s Mayawati announces split with Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party

Bahujan Samaj Party Chief, Mayawati on Monday announced the breakup of SP-BSP alliance stating that her party will fight ‘all elections alone’.

Taking to the twitter, Mayawati in a series of tweets said that old grievances with the SP were kept aside however the attitude of the SP compels BSP to think whether it will be possible to defeat the BJP in the future. Hence, for the sake of the party and the movement, the BSP will now fight all elections – big or small – by itself.

This development comes a day after BSP’s meet in Lucknow, where she criticised Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party for being against the non-Yadav backward communities when he was Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. She also accused SP founder Mulayam Singh Yadav of falsely charging her in Taj corridor case.
