FIFA World Cup, Karnataka Election Results, Priyanka Chopra Nick Jonas Wedding, Statue of Unity and Nipah Virus were the leading news search of the year.
On the Music front, there was a lone English entrant in the form of Despacito. Neha Kakkar’s ‘Dilbar Dilbar’, Arijit Singh’s ‘Tera Fitoor’ and Atif Aslam’s ‘Dekhte Dekhte’ from Bollywood were in the top five.
Google also released the video for Year In Search and its worth your time. In its two minutes, the movie covered various events that happened throughout the year which caught the eyes of the netizens.
