This is a shocker after the mass molestation which took place on the 31st December in Bengaluru. Many blamed the victims for wearing ‘western dresses’ and ‘skimpy clothes’. However this news slams those who blamed youngsters’ “western ways” for the incidents.
Another woman in Burqa became a victim to molestation on Friday in Bengaluru.
The incident occurred on Friday soon after the city was almost trying to deal with the New Year’s Eve massacre. In a CCTV footage captured from a home, the burqa clad woman was seen walking towards a bus stop near her residence on an alienated road and was being followed by a man.
The man then allegedly tried to molest her and ran away from the scene when street dogs started barking, the police said. The victim got injuries on her lips, tongue, hand and toes as she resisted him.
She was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police officials said they have taken up the case and an investigation was on.
These incidents have been reported successively after the police started investigating incidents on the night of December 31 on M G Road and Brigade Road, where several women were allegedly molested, groped, despite the presence of 1,500 police personnel to control.
