The woman died on her way to Purnia where she was being taken for further treatment.

This is not the first time in Bihar wherein an alive patient was declared dead. A similar incident took place in the Khairabad locality, which is under the jurisdiction of the police station in Nalanda where a six-month-old who was declared dead by a doctor woke up while being laid to rest during the funeral.

According to the witnesses, even as the family members were covering the body with soil, someone in the crowd noticed movement and suggested the victim’s father take the baby out of the ground. The baby was soon rushed to the local state-run government hospital where the doctors on duty admitted him to the emergency ward after finding his condition critical. But he survived after proper medical care.
