You must have often learned about first aid at home at school time. But over time, people always forget the big thing about health. But do you know that the first aid done on time can save the life of an injured person not only at home but also in case of an accident? Therefore, it is very important for all of us to have knowledge about first aid at the primary level. Every year on September 14, World First Aid Day is observed to create awareness about importance of first aid on health.
On World First Aid Day, let us know how World First Aid Day started and the purpose of first aid.
World First Aid Day History
World First Aid Day was started by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in 2000. Every year, more than 100 Red Cross and Red Crescent Society people in the world are made aware of the benefits of first aid, need of first aid and the right way to do first aid.
At the same time, the IFRC believes that first aid should be readily available to everyone, as it is very useful for people at the time of the accident; sometimes it is also effective in saving the lives of people.
First aid is very important in everyone’s life, as it also proves to be very helpful to help others if you have an injury or an accident outside your home or home. Handling the condition of the injured person before reaching the hospital through first aid means to help him out of unconsciousness and shock.
World First Aid Day Aim
The first objective of first aid is to do necessary actions to save the life of injured and injured person The second objective of first aid is to handle the condition of an injured person i.e. giving CPR in case of trouble in breathing and avoid infection etc. The third objective is to be taken immediately to the hospital before the health deteriorates.
