New Delhi, April 4 (IANS) The performance of the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh was below average on most important concerns of voters, including employment opportunities, healthcare facilities and law & order, according to a report by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR).

The election watchdog’s ‘Uttar Pradesh Survey 2018’, released on Thursday, says the government also performed “poorly” in providing agricultural subsidy for seeds and fertilisers, higher price realization of farm products, traffic congestion, better roads and in tackling pollution.

Across the state, the major concerns of voters were better employment opportunities (42.82 per cent), better hospitals and primary healthcare centres (34.56 per cent) and better law and order and policing (33.73 per cent), as per the ADR.

In rural Uttar Pradesh, the top most priorities were agricultural loan availability (44 per cent), electricity for agriculture (44 per cent) and employment opportunities (39 per cent) and the government performed below average on all three areas, it said.

Employment (49 per cent), traffic congestion (43 per cent), and air and water pollution (40 per cent) continue to be huge concerns for the urban voters.
