Former Indian cricketer Zaheer Khan, who is married to Bollywood actress Sagarika Ghatge, is all set to welcome their first child. Zaheer and Sagarika, who tied the knot in 2017, are currently in UAE where Zaheer is associated with Mumbai Indians.
As per reports, friends close to the couple confirmed the news to Pune Mirror. Zaheer recently celebrated his birthday in UAE in the presence of his Mumbai Indians team-mates as well as Sagarika.
Mumbai Indians also shared a video from the cake cutting ceremony. MI cricketers and management was also asked to describe the legendary Indian cricketer in a few words.
“He listens to everyone and then collectively brings the thoughts together. So I think it’s a very important factor to have in yourself,” said MI captain Rohit Sharma.
For their wedding, Zaheer and Sagarika had opted for a court wedding that took place in Mumbai. The duo followed it with a grand reception at the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower on November 27, where several well-known names from the country’s cricketing and film fraternities were present.
For the uninitiated, Indian captain Virat Kohli and his wife Anushka Sharma also announced on social media that the couple was expecting its first child in January 2021.
