Taking on the Akalis over their double-speak on the farm laws, the Chief Minister said in a live video statement on Facebook that the Badals had publicly done a U-turn on the issue.

Amarinder Singh slammed the Akalis for “pawning” farmers’ interests to the large corporates to promote their petty political interests, pointing out that SAD MLAs had chosen to stay away from the Vidhan Sabha session during which the resolution against the farm laws was passed.
Taking a dig at SAD chief Sukhbir Badal’s remark that Harsimrat Kaur’s resignation from the Union Cabinet was like an “atom bomb that had shaken the Prime Minister”, Amarinder Singh said it was not even a damp squib.
As per a Cabinet decision, these doctors were earlier granted an extension till September 30 which has now been extended till December 31, said the Chief Minister.
The Chief Minister took on Bajwa for jumping at every opportunity to criticise his own party government, like a two-bit Opposition leader who has no constructive issue to raise.
There was no time to take up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi the issue of deferment of exams, said Amarinder Singh in response to a suggestion to this effect.
For non-payment of fine by the violator, it is attracting legal action under Section 188 of the IPC as per regulations framed under the Epidemic Disease Act, 1897.
The Chief Minister also took a dig at the Law Minister for the reminding the states of their “constitutional duty to implement such laws”.
The Congress stand on Beant Singh’s killers has always been clear and consistent that they should serve their full sentence, said Amarinder Singh.
“It is my commitment that I will wipe even the memories of those dark years and restore the state’s No. 1 position,” Singh said.
