Bangalore: Cyber Crime Police arrested a 19-year-old for sharing the pirated movie link of Sudeep Kiccha starrer Pailwaan movie on social networking website Facebook.
Bengaluru resident Rakesh Virat was arrested by the police for sharing the movie links on his Facebook timeline on the day of its release. The accused is currently being interrogated.
Swapna Krisha, the producer of ‘Pailwan’ had earlier approached police against the piracy of the Kannada film released. In a complaint to the cybercrime police, Swapna Krishna stated that miscreants had somehow shot a video of the film and uploaded it to Facebook, websites and mobile phone applications.
