Kerala: MLA PC George creates nuisance at toll plaza over being asked to pay toll

Annoyed over being asked to pay toll over the toll plaza in Thrissur, Kerala MLA PC George vandalised the barricades and created nuisance. A CCTV footage has gone viral over the social media in which independent MLA George is seen to be stepping out of his car and breaking the barriers.

P.C. George was on his way to Kochi from Thrissur when his luxury car was stopped at the toll plaza at Paliyekkara on July 17 night by the toll booth, manned mostly by workers from other States.

According to Mr. George, his car was not allowed to pass despite having the ‘MLA’ board.

Pudukkad police officials said the toll plaza employees had informed that there was some delay in allowing the MLA’s vehicle to pass, following which Mr. George, along with his aides, broke the stop barrier.

A complaint has been filed against MLA George.

This is not the first time that PC George has garlanded controversies. In February 2017, the Poonjar MLA had allegedly slapped a canteen boy at the MLA’s hostel for delivering food late. He had also waved pistol at some estate workers for allegedly shouting slogans against him in connection with a land dispute on June 29, 2017.

Mr. George is presently founder leader of Kerala Janapakasham party.
