A 21-year-old girl was arrested in Kottayam district in Kerala for staying at her 17-year-old boyfriend’s place. She has been arrested under the Prevention of Children against Sexual Offence act (POCSO) on Monday.
As per reports, the woman, who hails from Ernakulam, was produced before the JFMC Pala in Kottayam remanded in judicial custody. She was arrested after a complaint was filed by the minor’s mother.
The mother alleged that her son was sexually assaulted by the woman. Ramapuram police acting immediately reached the location and broke into the house as the couple refused to open the door.
Reportedly, the minor boy was taken to Juvenile Justice Board. It has been said that the duo came into regular contact via social media giant Facebook.
