Air India System restored: Airlines’ CMD after operations affected globally due to server shutdown

Air India’ operations were affected across the globe since early morning on Saturday due to a problem in the airline’s main server. Hundreds of passengers were left stranded at various airports across the world owing to a glitch in the Airlines’ check-in software.

In the latest developemnt, the Airlines have issued a statement saying that the issue has been resolved.

“Air India System restored,” Ashwani Lohani, Chairman and Managing Director of Air India, was quoted as saying by a news agency.

“SITA server is down. Due to which flight operation is affected. Our technical teams are on work and soon system may be recovered,” the airline’s spokesperson had earlier said on the issue.

“Due to a breakdown in our server system some of our flights are getting affected all over the world. Work is on in full swing to restore the system. We sincerely regret inconvenience caused to passengers,” the Airline had tweeted.
