The Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung’s sudden resignation from his post on Thursday evening left many puzzled as the LG has decided to quit much before or at least 18 months before his term ends. The governor was quite active and said to be the most eligible person for the post.
However, Jung’s 3-and-a-half years’ term in office saw many clashes with Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal over administrative power. Several decisions of AAP government were termed illegal by the LG for not following procedures. Thus, resignation of Jung also caught Delhi’s political circle by surprise.
