Anushka Sharma announces her new Netflix show ‘Mai’ starring Sakshi Tanwar

Bollywood actor-producer Anushka Sharma has announced her new Netflix series, titled Mai. The show will starr Sakshi Tanwar in the lead role.

Announcing the news, the PK actor wrote, “Oh, Mai! What happens when a docile, 47-year-old wife-and-mother finds herself accidentally sucked into a rabbit hole of violence and power? WE WILL SOON FIND OUT.”

“I’m excited to announce our Netflix original series, Mai, that follows timid Sheel into an entanglement with crime and politics that will forever change her and the world she inhabits. Are you ready?,” she wrote further.

Netflix India on Wednesday announced its complete slate for 2021 across different genres and languages.

With over 41 titles in the pipeline, we would get to see Richie Mehta’s Delhi Crime Season 2, Jamtara 2, Kota Factory 2, Ye Kaali Kaali Aankhein, Mismatched season 2, Little Things season 3, and many others in the coming months.

The new shows which were announced Wednesday included Madhuri Dixit starrer Finding Anamika, which will be presented by Anushka Sharma’s Clean Slate Filmz and Manoj Bajpayee’s web series Ray. Decoupled featuring Madhavan and Surveen Chawla, and Amol Parashar’s Feels like Ishq were also announced by the streaming giant.
