Apple’s WWDC 2023 Keynote: The annual Worldwide Developers Conference of Apple is imminent. At the 2023 event scheduled for tonight, the company will unveil its first mixed reality headgear, as well as software updates for its flagship devices that run iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.
The Apple Reality Pro, the company’s first mixed-reality headset, is anticipated to be the centrepiece of the event. The headset will reportedly support both augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies, running on Apple’s new xrOS operating system. In addition, the company is anticipated to introduce new Mac models during this year’s WWDC keynote.
The event will commence streaming at 10.30 pm IST (10 am PT) on Apple.com and Apple’s YouTube channel, and will originate from Apple Park in California. Additionally, it is viewable through the Apple TV app and the Apple Developer app.
Apple is anticipated to present updates to its devices, including information about iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, tvOS 17, and watchOS 10, at WWDC, where expectations are high.
Recent reports indicate that the company will also introduce its MacBook and Mac Pro models, as well as the highly anticipated Apple Reality Pro mixed reality headset, at this event.
Even though Apple has not yet confirmed the introduction of the headset, all indications point to a launch today. The headset will utilise augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technology and operate on Apple’s new xrOS operating system.
The headset will feature Micro OLED displays with 5,000 nits of peak brightness and may be propelled by an external battery pack with a price tag of approximately Rs. 2,45,000 or $3,000.
Apple’s forthcoming Mac models, which could be released later tonight, include a new 15-inch MacBook Air powered by an M2 processor and a new Mac Pro model with an Apple Silicon chip.
