The year 2020 has been full of hurdles so far. Cyclone, coronavirus, earthquake, civil-war, the year went through all of these. However, this is not it. According to the reports, doomsday, which predicted the end of the world in 2012, now suggests that on June 21, the world will come to an end.

Doomsday refers to the apocalypse or the end of the world. It is also defined as the day of the Last Judgment, at the end of the world. The “Doomsday Clock” has been in the news these days which means that hat the planet is about as close to global disaster as it ever has been.

A tweet by scientist Paolo Tagaloguin has been the matter of talk on social media which explained the reason behind the end of the world on June 21. However, the tweet has been deleted now.

NASA, in this regard, said that these are claims and conspiracies without evidence. “For any claims of disaster or dramatic changes in 2012, where is the science? Where is the evidence? There is none, and for all the fictional assertions, whether they are made in books, movies, documentaries or over the Internet, we cannot change that simple fact”, they said.

“The Maya created the most elaborate calendar system of any culture in the world,” Ed Barnhart, Director, Maya Exploration Center told the History Channel. The Mayans had a silver calendar, they had the lunar calendars, they made a calendar for Venus. They made a nine-day cycle that is still understood.

Also, in an interview with the Gulf News, the CEO of the Dubai Astronomy Group, Hasan Al Hariri said, “Science is elegant and beautiful, but it requires an effort to understand. This is a golden opportunity to educate people. Any person with a scientific temperament, not necessarily a scientist, cannot support these types of messages.”

When the theory came into light, people related the incidents and disastrous events that are taking place in and around the world. Many took to Twitter to express their concern and horror.
