Actor Arjun Rampal’s Mumbai house is being searched by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is investigating drugs allegations linked to the film industry currently.

The NCB had recently arrested Agisilaos Demetriades, brother of Rampal’s partner Gabriella. Though he was granted bail by a special court, Demetriades was taken into custody again in another drugs case.

Yesterday, Bollywood producer Firoz Nadiadwala’s wife was arrested by the anti-drugs agency over 10 grams of marijuana allegedly found at their Mumbai home in raids.

Earlier in the day, a team of NCB sleuths searched the residence of the Nadiadwalas and seized 10 grams of ganja, officials said, adding that the contraband was prima facie procured from one Wahid Abdul Kadir Sheikh alias Sultan who was arrested earlier.

For the uninitiated, the agency started investigating the drugs-films connection when WhatsApp chats emerged during the probe into actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in June.
