Assam NRC Final List 2019: Steps to check your name online at nrcassam.nic.in

The updated National Register of Citizens (NRC) list will be released at 10 AM tomorrow, August 31.  The NRC list has been updated to segregate Indian citizens living in Assam from the ones who illegally entered the state from Bangladesh after March 1971.

Here are the steps to check your name in the NRC exclusion list:

• Go to the website www.nrcassam.nic.in
• Click on “Supplementary Inclusions/Exclusions Lists (Final NRC) status”
• Type your ARN number in the box and enter captcha
• Click on ‘Search’ button and see if your name is present in the final NRC list.

In the draft published on 30 July 2018 over 2.89 crore of the total 3.29 crore applicants were included, while over 40 lakh were left out. Nearly 36 lakh persons out of the 40 lakh who were given a chance to appeal in the ‘claims and objections’ round filed their ‘claims’.
