Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection Day 2: Emraan Hashmi and Disha Patani’s Awarapan 2 is keeping a strong, steady pace at the Indian box office on Day 2. The film which hit cinemas on August 14 has already gone past the ₹26 crore mark in India as per live estimates and it seems to be right near the ₹30 crore target.

This sequel to the 2007 cult favorite Awarapan, is also getting a good push from the Independence Day holiday and a bit of old- memory pull for fans of the original and the overall positive buzz around Hashmi coming back as Shivam Pandit.

Awarapan 2 Box Office Collection Day 2

According to live box-office tracking, Awarapan 2 had collected approximately ₹26.74 crore net in India by the latest update. The figure was still being updated, meaning the final Day 2 number could be higher once the day’s theatrical business is fully reported.

Another live tracker, Sacnilk, was showing the film at approximately ₹29.23 crore India net, with Day 2 still in progress. Because these are live estimates rather than final trade figures, the numbers can change during the day.

  • Day 1: ₹21–22 crore
  • Day 2: ₹26.74 crore
  • Total| Around: ₹26.74–29.23 crore

Batwara 1947 Box Office Collection: Sunny Deol Film Trails Awarapan 2, Jaat

Emraan Hashmi’s Biggest Opening

Awarapan 2 opened strongly on August 14, with early estimates putting its India net collection at around ₹21–22 crore. The Times of India reported a ₹22 crore opening, while India Today cited an estimated ₹21 crore net.

That was enough to give Emraan Hashmi the biggest opening day of his career, according to multiple reports. There is an important distinction, however: some reports have used ₹27 crore as the film’s worldwide opening-day figure, rather than its India net collection. The ₹27 crore figure should therefore not be presented as the Day 2 India collection.

Awarapan 2 vs Batwara 1947

The Independence Day weekend has brought a direct box-office clash between Awarapan 2 and Sunny Deol’s Batwara 1947.

So far, Hashmi’s film has established a substantial lead. Awarapan 2 opened at roughly ₹21–22 crore net in India, while Batwara 1947 collected around ₹5.75 crore on its first day, according to live box-office reports.

Awarapan 2 Beats the Original’s Lifetime Collection

The sequel’s opening was honestly just moved past the theatrical run of the 2007 original pause. The first Awarapan had a rather modest box office start, even if later it ended up being a cult favourite. The first film opened to approximately Rs 79 lakh on its first day and earned around Rs 2.88 crore net during its opening weekend. ‘Awarapan 2’ has already collected several times that amount on its opening day alone.
