AYP Sibasagar wing members resign over AGP’s neglect on CAA protests

The members of Asom Yuba Parishad (AYB), Sibasagar wing has resigned amidst Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protest going on all across India. The resignation happened on December 19 on Thursday.

The members and executives have applied for resignation as they haven’t received any formal letter by AGP President Atul Bora againt CAA.

The Sibasagar constituency of AYB has simultaneously resigned along with Asom Chatra Parishad, which is the student wing of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP).

The members said, “ As we all know that AGP has not acted against the Citizenship Amendment Act and for the sake of our mother land we will resign from our respective posts.”

They also said that AGP MP Biren Kumar Baishya has insulted Assam by casting his vote in favour of the CAA.
