Ranchi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday appointed Babulal Marandi, the MLA from Dhanwar, as the leader of its legislative party in the Jharkhand Assembly. Marandi was unanimously elected as the BJP Legislative Party Leader during a meeting held in Ranchi.
To oversee the selection process, the BJP had appointed Union Minister Bhupender Yadav and the party’s Other Backward Classes (OBC) Morcha president K. Laxman as central observers on Wednesday.
