And the most-bizarre statement of the week goes to Donald Trump… Again! Here’s why:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stoked controversy once again by saying US President Barack Obama “founded” the Islamic State. During a rally in Fort Lauderdale, Fla, Trump said the terrorist organisation is “honouring Obama” as “he’s the founder of ISIS”. He repeated, “He founded ISIS,” as though we didn’t hear it the first time. He attributed the rise of the IS to Obama’s decision to withdraw troops from the Middle East, as that left a void in the region.

Trump added that the co-founder of the terror outfit is Hillary Clinton. “I would say the co-founder would be crooked Hillary Clinton,” He said. Clinton is the former secretary of state in the Obama administration. Last week, Trump had said Clinton should “get an award” from IS.

“We should never have gotten out the way we got out,” he said. “We unleashed terrible fury all over the Middle East. Instead of allowing some small forces behind to maybe, just maybe, keep it under control, we pulled it out,” He reasoned. “Then Obama came in, and normally you want to clean up and he made a bigger mess. We’re not respected. We’re laughed at all over the world.”
