Boo, the social media sensation known to his fans as ‘the cutest dog in the world’, died of heart attack on Friday at the age of 12.
Boo’s owner, Facebook employee Irene Ahn, said the adorable pup — who has 16 million-plus Facebook followers— started developing medical problems after his best pal, a Pomeranian named Buddy who had lived with him for 11 years, died in 2017 at the age of 14.
Boo’s owners posted on Facebook saying, “With deepest “sadness I wanted to share that Boo passed away in his sleep early this morning and has left us to join his best friend, Buddy. Our family is heartbroken, but we find comfort knowing that he is no longer in any pain or discomfort. We know that Buddy was the first to greet him on the other side of that rainbow bridge, and this is likely the most excited either of them have been in a long time.”
Boo had 16 million followers on Facebook, made TV appearances, and even released a book called Boo – the life of the world’s cutest dog.
