Boyfriend On Demand Trailer: Boyfriend On Demand takes place in a futuristic world where people can create their perfect boyfriend using a special virtual reality program. In the show, Mi-Rae is a tired webtoon producer who feels stressed from work. She decides to escape into a dating simulation program called Monthly Boyfriend. Through this system, she can “order” her dream partner and go on virtual dates.
The story mixes fun romance with deeper ideas about modern dating and work burnout. It shows how fantasy and real life can get mixed up when emotions become real. In the trailer, we see Mi-Rae enjoying different dates in the virtual world.

But in her real life, there is only one man she keeps meeting again and again. That man is Park Kyeong-Nam, played by Seo In-Guk. He works with her and is both her colleague and rival. Slowly, their relationship becomes more serious and real, which makes Mi-Rae question what true love really means.
Director Kim Jung-sik said: “One of the most appealing points of ‘Boyfriend on Demand’ is that the main character experiences different romantic relationships with various individuals, in diverse settings and universes, all within a single series. As such, viewers can enjoy a wide spectrum of romantic comedies.”
On the virtual dating sequences, he added: “I focused most on portraying the many charms Jisoo has in the most versatile way possible. To do this, I used different occupations and added subtle variations to her character in the virtual world so that her acting style would feel distinct from Mi-rae in reality.”
Along with Jisoo and Seo In-Guk, the series includes many other actors like Ryu Abel, Park Ji Ho, Kang Min Woo, Song Ha Na, Yoo Sun Ho, Kim Sung Cheol, Gong Min Jun, Seo Hyo Rim and Ko Kyu Pil.
But it’ the special guest stars who are getting the most attention. Actors like Seo Kang-Joon, Lee Soo-Hyuk, Ong Seong-Wu, Lee Jae-Wook, Lee Hyun-Wook, Jay Park, Kim Young-Dae and Lee Sang-Yi appear as Jisoo’s different virtual boyfriends. Each one brings a different romantic style to her fantasy world.

According to the official synopsis of the K-drama from Netflix, “Boyfriend on Demand follows exhausted webtoon producer Mi-Rae, who escapes reality through a subscription-based virtual dating simulation program where she gets to experience the dates of her dream. Blending the relatable challenges of daily work life and a never-before-seen virtual reality dating subscription program, Boyfriend on Demand is a unique take on the romantic comedy genre.”
The series is directed by Kim Jung-Sik, who also directed No Gain No Love. It will have 10 episodes and is set to release on March 6.
