BRICS Games concludes, India win six medals with two gold

The Wushu competition of the BRICS Games concluded in China on Monday where India won six medals including two golds, two silvers and two bronzes.

As reported by IANS, on Sunday, M Gyandas won a gold medal in Taijiquan/Taijijian, M Bidheswari Devi won silver whereas L Sanatgombhi Chanu won bronze in the same event. On the second and final day of Wushu events which happened on Monday, the Indian team won three more medals including one gold, one silver and one bronze.

During the event, Indian Wushu players gave a hard time to Wushu’s powerhouses China, Russia, Brazil and South Africa.

The gold medal was clinched by Anjul Namdev in Changquan overall event, Silver was grabbed by Ng Toshibala in Women’s Changquan event and a bronze medal was taken by Sajan Lama in Nnanquan all round event.
