BSEB Doubles Topper Awards: Bihar Board Class 10, 12 Top Rankers to Get Rs 2 Lakh Each

Bihar Board Class Topper Awards: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) is set to release the Class 12 results by the end of March and the Class 11 results in the first week of April. BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore will also announce the names of the toppers for both matric and intermediate exams this year. In a significant move, the Bihar government has doubled the prize money and increased scholarships for students who perform exceptionally well in these exams.

Bihar Board Toppers 2025: Prize Money Details

The Bihar government has increased the prize money for students who top the Class 10 and Class 12 exams. This step aims to reward the hard work and dedication of meritorious students. Here’s a breakdown of the prize money:

• First Rank: Students who obtain 1st position (both class 10 & 12) in board exams will get Rs 2 lakh cash prize. Earlier, the amount granted was Rs 1 lakh.
• Second Rank: Students who secure 2nd place will get Rs 1.5 lakh prize money which is a remarkable increase from Rs 75,000 earlier.
• Third Rank: The 3rd rankers are not eligible to get 1 lakh (Rs 50, 000 previously).
• Fourth to Tenth Rank: Students who bag positions between 4 and 10 in matric standard will receive Rs. 20, 000 (up from 10k). On the other hand, students from intermediate standard will get Rs. 30, 000 prize money (up from 15k).

Apart from cash prizes, top rankers will also get laptop, certificate, and a medal

The exact amount for each rank will be announced by BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore along with the results.

Scholarships for Meritorious Students

In addition to prize money, the Bihar government has also increased the scholarship amount for high-performing students. The scholarship aims to reduce the financial burden on students and encourage them to pursue their academic goals. Students who score high marks in Class 10 and Class 12 exams are eligible for this scholarship. The Deshratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad Medha Scholarship is designed to support talented students so they can continue their education without financial difficulties.
